Oscar our fur baby
Oscar is 7now and without this outstanding man we would have lost him aged 3,he has a delicate sensitive diet,john gave him antibiotics on one visit and a pain killing injection we took Oscar home,we got a text at 11.30 at night asking us how Oscar was,you don't get that level of care from multinationals.
John is dedicated to giving the best care for the animals he sees ,through our visits to abbywood I don't just consider John as our vet but also a friend who occasionally when required makes Oscar better and for that I cannot thank him enough.

Absolutely fabulous
John text me soon after I had made an enquiry, he offered to help immediately. We waited while the next day. He gave us an appointment appropriate for us, he examined out 16yr old cat Fudge, he had a rotten tooth which needed to come out asap…Fudge saw John at 6pm literally by 9pm Fudge had had his op & was home. He gave him medication and was brilliant giving us information, asked us to text to let him know how he was in the morning. My partner & I did not have a lot of spare money, John asked us our budget & worked around it!
Would definitely recommend & definitely will use John again for our other pets. Thank you for making Fudge happy again!

Three weeks ago on a Saturday evening we text John (the Vet 'JTV') having just got home to discover our 11 year old Yorkshire terrier 'Henry' was wobbly in his back legs.
JTV explained it was important to start anti-inflammatory injection promptly, irrespective of awkward weekend timing showing he had Henry's welfare as only priority. He talked us through the current & future signs of improvement or deterioration.
He repeated the injection 24 hours later on Sunday night having checked to see the treatment had had a positive effect. While we continued to treat Henry at home by tablet, JTV contacted us for text updates & videos of Henry's walking. As a Plan B JTV also put in a huge shift sending referral request emails trying to find the earliest available specialist MRI scan for a possible slipped disc in the Northwest area. Thankfully whilst waiting for our appointment with an orthopaedic specialist Henry's treatment has been successful and he has slowly returned to normal.

My male cat needed his broke lower canine fang tooth urgently removed. After looking online to register him with a new Vet, I came across Abbeywood, Denton. The very large number of reviews (over 60) were universally excellent & convinced me despite the Uber taxi fare from central Manchester. I called late Friday evening yet was fitted in to bring my cat down straight away.
John is without a doubt the best vet I've come across. He has a genuine care for the welfare of the animals, and was able to tell me the situation with my cat straight away. Most importantly he gave me a thorough insight to the medication & I realised I needed to both leukaemia vaccinate and castrate my tomcat!
I did not feel rushed like I had felt at other clinics, which made me feel completely stress-free.
I would recommend John without a moment of hesitation. He is professional, courteous and his text access 07769-353350 for advice & follow-up recovery reports & late opening seem to be absolutely unique.
